I love volunteering at Mental Health Resource. It has a naturally warm and welcoming energy. I've met so many amazing people and my life feels much richer because of it. I look forward to coming in on Fridays; it's very quickly become my favourite day of the week!" Kimberley, Hub volunteer.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a chance to become involved in something you are passionate about, to contribute to something meaningful and to give back to your community.  Alongside this, volunteering can be a great opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and enhance your own wellbeing.

Our ‘The Ways to Wellbeing’ wheel illustrates how ‘giving’ and ‘connecting’ form an essential part of developing and maintaining wellbeing.

We believe that volunteering should be mutually beneficial, enabling you to gain new experiences and skills from the roles you undertake and at the same time enriching our work with the skills and traits you have.

Volunteering at Mental Health Resource

Volunteers at Mental Health Resource help us to deliver valuable services to our clients, whether that’s facilitating groups at the Hub and in the local area; helping us to run fundraising or awareness events; or assisting us in our marketing work so that we can spread the word about what we do.

How can I apply?

If you are interested in volunteering with us please fill out the Volunteer application form below, or contact our Volunteer Coordinator Abbi Bradford at [email protected]

We will then invite you to come into Mental Health Resource for an informal chat about the role.

Once we’ve agreed that the role suits your skills and interests we will ask you to supply two references and arrange a DBS check for you.  We will also arrange for you to have an induction, and any other training you might need to carry out your role.
