Statistics show that one in four people in England and Wales will have some form of mental illness during their lifetime, with the greatest factors being stress, worry, social stigma and isolation. With this fact in mind it is amazing that there is still so much stigma surrounding mental illness, making it extremely difficult for us to raise funds. We are dependent on the support of individuals and organisations to help us raise the vital funds we need to be able to continue providing services and support to people whose lives have been affected by mental illness. With your help we can make a real difference to so many people's lives throughout West Kent. There are many ways you can help, depending on your interests, available time and your personal goals. Whether it is taking on a challenge of running a race or holdling a coffee morning, organising your own fundraising activity or joining in with an event organised by us, giving a regular donation or a one off donation, it all makes a huge difference. Or perhaps, you would rather volunteer some of your time. You will find lots of information on our website about how you can help to make a difference. |
